As we continue to expand rapidly, we are determined to retain and nurture this special culture. | | | | Flood Relief Funds with Singer Sunitha | | | BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA – Oct 09th, 2009: It was a truly spectacular sight at the Santa Clara Convension Center on the evening of 9th Oct. The occasion was the live performance by Nandi Award Winning Singer Sunitha along with Sri Krishna. The show was organized by Bay Area Telugu Association & VisionSoft Solutions. It was a resounding success as the hall was packed with a tremendously charged crowd of over 1200 people.
Sunitha with Srikrishna and orchestra created magic on the audience with old and new songs. The show started with a melodious performance of “Punyabhoomi naa desam song. It just set the mood for a music filled evening. But as they started picking the fast paced numbers from their repertoire, the excitement of the crowds knew no bounds.
With the support of audiences we managed to raise outstanding funds for the flood releif in andhra (joint venture of BATA/VisionSoft Solutions and TANA) with in 4 hrs of show. Special thanks to Sunitha who anounced the names of donors.
1st time in the Bay Area,USA such a huge telugu music show was organised and the event went on to be a grand mega success. Indian families the turnover was huge and Bay Area never saw such a huge crowd of 1200 odd music lovers.The show was organised on friday without any dinner or break, and still audiences were enthralled and glued to their seats for 4 hrs nonstop music.
The show ended with Sagara Sangam song. Comedians Venu and Venky with their skits entertained the audience and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed their performance. People were so engrossed that NOT a single person left till the VERY end of the show. They were constantly cheering for the artists and it was truly mass hysteria.
The audience was very appreciative of the arrangements at the venue. The sound system was excellent. Many members of the audience actually made it a point to meet the organizers after the show ended and congratulated them for holding the event with such high standards.
The organizers wish to thank all the artists Phani (Cango Drums), Chinna & Praveen (Key Board Players), Ram Chandra Murthy (Fluet),Swamy (Electonic Pad) and Bal Raj (Tabla).
